About Review

Review has been designed to empower organisations to deliver effective youth employment programs

Review encourages good practice in youth employment. The Review tools can be used by youth employment program providers to design, deliver and measure effective programs.

The Review Surveys and Platform empower organisations to capture young people’s voices in order to strengthen programs and improve youth employment outcomes.

Review was developed by Social Ventures Australia to build the capacity of youth employment program providers. Review encourages good practice by providing free access to tools and resources that support the design, delivery and measurement of effective programs.

The Review website and Platform were made possible by a grant from Citi Foundation under its Pathways to Progress program. Review also received funding from Lord Mayors Charitable Foundation and Jack Brockhoff Foundation.

From December 2025, Youth Projects has assumed ownership of Review. As the new custodian, Youth Projects is committed to maintaining the Platform and elevating the broader youth employment sector by enabling access to high-quality, outcomes-focused tools that support better practice and stronger impact across the ecosystem.

Review website

The Review website and tools were launched in May 2019 and were developed with support from Brotherhood of St Laurence, Jesuit Social Services, Jobs Australia, Orygen, University of Melbourne, and VicHealth.

Review Platform

The Review Platform was launched in June 2020 and was developed with support from eight youth employment program providers who gave their time and input into the research, design and testing of the platform. SVA thanks Dismantle, Employment Options, Ganbina, Scarf, Social Engine, Wayside Chapel, WorkVentures and Youth Projects for their role in bringing the Review Platform to life for the sector.

Supporters

The Review website and Platform have been made possible by a grant from Citi Foundation under its Pathways to Progress program. The Citi Foundation invests in programs that help young people, ages 16-24, pursue their career and economic ambitions by connecting them to on-ramps to opportunity.
